Job Description

The ETL developer endeavors to understand source data that needs to be integrated into our standard Spear models, develop an ETL process that transforms that data into the standard Spear model, ensuring MDM and DQM goals are met, and ensures that operational accuracy, performance and stability of an data ingest activities over time.

  • Maintain a standard relational data model that supports data from disparate data sources, normalizing and mastering the data to ensure high data quality.
  • Support our ongoing data operations by identifying and resolving problems with data quality, ingest speed and overall ETL operation.
  • Build new integrations that allow Spear to enter new kinds of data into our cloud data warehouse and integrate new customers onto existing products. 
  • Ensure that relational data is available and performant and supports an enterprise analytics capability

Qualifications

Required Experience:
•    3+ years of ETL /ELT experience using Talend.
•    3+ years of experience creating star schema dimensional models.
•    3+ years of experience working with AWS Redshift and MySQL.
•    Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and ELT – ETL best practices.
•    Responsible for the documentation of all Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
•    Knowledge of code management using Git / SVN or other standard tool.
•    Design, develop, validate and deploy the Talend ETL processes using Talend data integration and data quality tools.
•    Expertise in Talend Job, Joblets, Java, and custom component.
•    Experience with Non-Columnar and Columnar Databases with strong SQL scripting.
•    Manage and update the various reference tables that are used within AWS Redshift and other databases.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Talend Data Integration v6 Certified.
•    AWS Certifications preferred.
•    Experience working with the Master Data Management methodology.
