Inherent requirements:

Nursing diploma/degree (general, psychiatric, midwifery, community nursing)

Post basic diploma Primary health care Nursing Science.

NIMART Training.

Proof of registration at the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

At least two (2) years relevant experience in a clinic environment.

A valid driver`s licence.

Dispensing certificate.

Duties and responsibilities:

Perform professional clinical duties at the Primary Health Care Clinic.

HIV testing, Counselling and treatment.

Capture clinical notes on electronic medical system.

Quality control of (the) clinic.

Handle emergencies on campus.

Assist with first aid services at sport events on campus where necessary.

Arrange and assist with awareness campaigns regarding health and HIV on campus.

Coordinate and support students involved in the Peer Education program.

Conduct workshops and training sessions for Peer Educators on topics of health promotion and prevention.

Develop training material in line with program outcomes.

Implementation of prevention programs and initiatives.

Knowledge in the application of policies and the NSP.

Present information sessions to the campus community.

Liaise with internal and external role-players.
