Job Description

Spear Education is hiring a Communication Specialist who will support Corporate Marketing by driving branding research, champion messaging campaigns by segments, and support efforts within social media and SEO. The position is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their career within a Marketing capacity and wear many hats to generate external branding initiatives.

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Champion and expand Spear’s inbound publication strategy to make it the primary top of the funnel activity
  • Independently construct run content based on social media advertising campaigns following established best practices
  • Continue the SEO/Lead gen trends established over the last 18 months
  • Understand basics of social media strategies to post, respond, and support with delievering content

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct competitive research on how other companies are targeting their brand messaging
  • Analyze how Spear can differentiate themselves from other companies on messaging 
  • Drive customer research to execute impactful messages to various customer segments 
  • Test various messages with customer segments and determine effectiveness (by each segment)
  • Respond to various social media posts 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 1-2 years experience editing AP style publications within a professional environment
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and proficiency with written grammar ability
  • 0-1 years of experience using content to generate leads
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and how they are used to disseminate content
