Job Description

Chief Marketing Officer

The role will lead the Marketing and Communications strategy and execution for the client company and will report to the CEO. You will play a critical role developing the brand into a leading and industry recognized software leader. You will manage all aspects from lead generation, brand building, campaign and partner marketing and manage a team to execute the agreed strategy. Success requires the uncommon combination of technical know-how, interpersonal skills, and creative storytelling abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage development of the client’s company story – who we are, what we do, and why we do it. Articulate this story via clear, concise and compelling marketing – presentations, web content, and campaign collateral.

• Develop the brand utilizing online, social and traditional techniques

• Manage Analyst and PR outreach and relationships

• Create partner marketing and end-user lead generation campaigns to maximize pipeline

• Work with Product Management and R&D to develop Product Briefs and ultimately vision of the company

• Create and deliver compelling presentations on technical products and concepts to partners and internal personnel.

• Organize industry events and logistics for team

• Engage directly with senior executives, industry analysts, and partners.

• Own executive communications for client’s CEO (2-3 presentations annually) – logistics, story/presentation development, and execution.

Qualifications

• Must have built and delivered multiple brands - looking for a proven "noise maker"

• BS/BA degree required; MBA preferred

• Seven to ten years on high tech marketing or sales

• Proven track record engaging with working with senior executives both in the context of driving internal decision making and externally with VP and C-level executives

• Extensive to and through partner marketing experience

• Demonstrated capacity to understand the big picture of a complex multi-channel business, think analytically, and develop strategic marketing plans in this context

• Ability to execute against tight deadlines and prioritize work accordingly

• Hands-on experience developing core marketing content and collateral

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly shifting business environment

• Experience developing amazing – beautiful and compelling – presentations covering technical topics
