Job Summary

Work as part of a team to produce individual components making up the GATR inflatable satellite system. Achieve optimum use of program of record computing and networking equipment by performing needed installation, training, and problem resolution for hardware and software associated with ongoing programs of record. Responsible for configuration, installation, and quality check of network server hardware, operating systems, and management devices. Overall responsibility for loading of assets with production work orders and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install computer hardware and software products including current versions of software/firmware
• Load servers and client systems using Area Work Instructions
• Perform Hard Disk Drive (HDD) replication
• Control PC/LAN systems and data security
• Work with cybersecurity lead to maintain accurate records of install revisions
• Refine production processes for PC equipment to increase efficiency
• Configure routers/modems and rework for contract-specific requirements

Production Technicians may also be trained to perform any or all of the following:

• Build and assemble components from detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions
• Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components
• Perform precision fabric assembly and integration
• Fabricate composite structures
• Conduct antenna system functional testing
• Document antenna system performance

All Production personnel are expected to:

• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times with minimum supervision
• Identify and report non-conforming components both in writing and verbally to supervisor
• Maintain production facility to incorporate ISO standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• HDD replicator experience
• Solid understanding of network topologies and protocols
• Experience with Windows Server 2012R2, Solarwinds TFTP Server, VMware, WAN Acceleration
• Experience with multiple servers in Windows environment
• Working knowledge of network security
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and MacAfee security tools
• Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude
• Must be a self-starter with a strong focus on quality, details, and results
• Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team

Credentials and Experience

• Associate’s degree in technical discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• MCSA, CCNA certifications preferred

Special Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Must have the physical flexibility to kneel, squat, and bend
• Must have the manual dexterity to perform precision fabric assembly and integration tasks
• Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime, as required
