Job Description

  • Define and implement secure software development lifecycle practices for Visa technology projects throughout planning and delivery cycles
  • Collaborate with product development teams to achieve Visa’s security program objectives
  • Maintain active understanding of industry practices for secure software development
  • Evaluate, document and implement updated standards for secure coding practices, application security requirements, automation, training and metrics
  • Function as subject matter expert for determining standards around emerging technologies and security practices
  • Participate in every stage of feature development from design and brainstorming through feature implementation, including fixing that last critical bug under a tight release deadline
  • Work as part of a dynamic team collaborating closely with other engineers, engineering teams and product owners
  • Review stories and provide security requirements
  • Implement major features from scratch
  • Perform code reviews
  • Contribute to design & overall product architecture

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in computer science, computer security or relevant field required
  • 0- 2 years’ development experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, Java/J2EE, C++ and JavaScript, and experience in using web framework such as ASP.NET MVC, Spring, Node.JS and AngularJS
  • Experience with source control, build and deployment tools such as AccuRev, TFS, Subversion, Maven, Hudson, Git, Artifactory and Chef/Ansible desirable
  • Experience with writing unit tests, integration tests and automation tools
  • Excellent understanding of web applications, web servers and protocols with respect to application development and deployment
  • Well versed with driving and implementing secure development practices in to SDLC; ability to successfully integrate security into developers world
  • Familiar with waterfall and agile development processes and have experience integrating secure development practices into both models
  • Strong object oriented design techniques, and reusable component design
  • Strong analytical skills with good problem solving ability desired
  • Effective communicator; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently; able to negotiate and bring consensus to diverse priorities of product development teams
