Our client is a multinational consumer goods company looking for its Senior HR Business Partner for its Global/Regional HQ to be based in Singapore.



Job Description

Reporting line: HR Director Asia MEA

Role purpose:

  • Overarching purpose of the role is to build an inclusive workplace conducive for strong engagement of diverse teams & complex structure. It’s also to build a distinctive, inspiring culture of engagement.
  • It has specific responsibility for overall direction and delivering total HR strategy for the Company's Singapore Offices. 
  • Manages all areas of HR such as Talent Management, Performance Management, Organization Development, Employee Engagement, Learning and Development, Compensation & Benefits, Health & Safety, Policies and Procedures, Budget, Data, & Legal compliance.


Role accountabilities:

Strategy and Organization

  • Develop Short to Long Term HR Strategies for the Singapore office, aligned with the overall Business and Functional HR (Region) Strategies.
  • Enable organizational capability by having the right structure & people.
  • Facilitate deployment of Global and regional people program
  • Champion Employee engagement initiatives across the organization.
Talent Management
  • Implement effective Home Grown Leaders & Talent Acquisition Strategies.
  • Drive and enable the business with the right Talent Management Strategies that support local and regional objectives
  • Performance Management
Change Management
  • Effectively manage, lead, or Change in the Singapore Office in order for the business to cope with the new business dynamics and ensure minimal disruption to business operations in times of Change.
  • Be an agent of Change when necessary
  • Coach and work with executive team, senior managers and regional peers to facilitate change initiatives in the organization.
Engagement
  • Champion engagement program that will build a distinctive, inspiring culture of engagement where employees feel engaged to deliver superior results. 
Compensation & Benefits
  • Ensure Singapore Office remuneration is competitive in the market and maintain internal pay equity
Product Safety & Food Quality
  • Lead by example a safety & quality mindset by driving awareness and adherence to the safety & quality standards and practices.
Policies and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring HR related policies and procedures are reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Acts as an advisor to the executive team and senior managers on their policy making 
  • Alignment with legal requirements, budget
  • Manage the overall APMEA Singapore office Staff Costs and HR Budget and support other Singapore based global functions budgetary requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from a reputable university
  • 10-15 years related experience in various fields of HR, the last 5 years of which in a senior capacity with preferably overseas Assignment or exposure (Operational or Regional Capacity)
  • Experience in Industries having a strong people discipline, processes and strategies, preferably FMCG
  • Able to develop collaborative relationships
  • Strong influencing skills to be able to drive HR strategies
  • Able to drive and build Future Capability
  • Ability to institute, facilitate and grow Learning and Engagement
  • Able to provide analytical views on current and future trends that can impact the business and its people
  • Strong Team Leadership and hard-core people (from all levels) magnet
  • Expert in Singapore Labour & Employment practices to smooth out industrial relations
  • Change Management skills
  • Business Strategy skils
