As a Manager-on-Duty (MOD), you must be friendly, outgoing, and possess great communication skills. The best candidates will be excited to step into a leadership position and take ownership of the day-to-day experience for our customers and our staff.  You will play a major role in daily operations, overseeing staff and ensuring all of Badlands is running smoothly and providing a delightful time for our customers.  Your individual personality should shine through in order to thrill our guests and motivate our staff.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce natural ways of learning; facilitate unstructured play and encouraging children to use their imagination and take risks.
• Oversee staff and ensure all departments are running smoothly throughout the day, including play space, workshop, exhibits, café, kitchen, and events
• Complete opening and/or closing procedures
• Serve as main point-of-contact for escalated customer issues
• Assist with staff scheduling and shift management
• Work within the Badlands point-of-sale, scheduling, and e-commerce software systems
• Manage setup and execution for all special events, including parties and exhibits
• Provide staff mentoring, training, and disciplinary conversations as needed
• Various other duties to help make Badlands a better place

• Some supervisory experience a plus
