Job Description

Work as part of the Operations team to assist in the execution of product orders. Interface with purchasing, material planning, production, and quality to assure customer delivery dates are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track and expedite open purchase orders
  • Responsible for scheduling materials through production cycle to assure high on-time delivery performance
  • Identify material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with all corporate control policies
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to ensure all Return Merchandise Authorizations, First Articles, and Non-Conforming Materials are processed in a timely manner
  • Identify and help resolve scheduling issues with MRP system
  • Assist with implementation of any new MRP programs or systems
  • Interface with production planner on routine work responsibilities and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with MRP software packages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to work with automated purchase orders and supplier-managed inventories
  • Strong math skills including understanding and applying conversion factors, ratios, percentages, and algebraic reasoning
  • Ability to work proactively to organize processes with strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills (type at least 40 wpm) and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Credentials and Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Business or other related field
  • Three years’ materials experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience Special Requirements:
  • Available to work Mon-Fri, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Available to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as required

Credentials and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Business or other related field
  • Three years’ materials experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Requirements

  • Available to work Mon-Fri, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Available to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as required
