Job Description

Overview:  An opportunity to join a join a team with a large development pipeline. The Project Manager position supports and assists in the management of construction projects and oversees their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Project Manager is involved in all aspects of the project including budgeting, organizing, implementing and scheduling. The Project Manager will handle projects ranging from 7,000 SqFt to 80,000 SqFt. 

Location: Pensacola, FL

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with site selection process including ESA, geotechnical review, planning, zoning and permitting
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Coordinate and direct general contractors and subcontractors
  • Project document management and project controls
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Oversee the development of project quality control plan implementation and compliance with contract requirements to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Manage tracking logs (materials, invoices, etc.)
  • Coordinate owner furnished items with project scope of work
  • Prepare and issue meeting minutes
  • Manage punch list and work with subcontractors to execute the punch list in accordance with project schedule
  • Coordinate Owner training
  • Other activities as assigned by management

Qualifications

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering or related field is desired
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience desired in construction and/or project management; preferred medical related construction
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages preferred
  • Expert Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to travel when needed
  • Must have or can acquire a Florida Driver’s License
