E-commerce Account Manager (MKT048)

Kyalami, Midrand

R45000 – R50 000 per month CTC

The Account Manager E-Commerce is a Key Account Manager is responsible for managing the online business focused on existing online customers and other strategically identified potential customers and driving the growth of the assigned accounts, in line with the agreed company strategy.

The role is responsible for driving sales via the digital channels and building successful relationships internally with the appropriate teams to ensure full e-commerce channel execution.

 

Key Responsibilities/Principle Accountabilities:

Full responsibility for e-commerce growth for customer set and implementation of the activity plan, including but not limited to managing online sales plans and execution, brand and sales & marketing programs presentation on retailer sites, coordination of digital marketing campaigns and product presentation with e-commerce Trade Content & e-Merchandising managers.

Manage category basics (assortment, content, etc.), define and implement clear digital business and category development strategies for an account, including planning & review meetings.

Implement, measure and monitor the performance of each account plan taking decisive action to deliver sales revenue.

Implement the sales vision for retailers in co-ordination with Brick & Mortar colleagues.

Contribute to the development of sales and marketing programs designed to meet or exceed sales volume objectives for the online partner.

Responsible for the channel sales forecasting process.

Support and implement recommendations for account development.

Maintain close collaboration with customer and other key strategic stakeholders to ensure the account develops a true Omni-channel approach and full implementation of marketing and product development plans in line with the customer strategy.

Be the key customer contact representing the company in day-to-day inquiries for e-commerce as well as in key e-commerce account negotiations.

Manage the total number of active products across all channels, through effective day to operational activities.

Ensure high data integrity of Company products across all digital channels including Brick and Mortar online channels and exclusive online retailers.

Produce a monthly Offer schedule for online retailers to ensure sell through of key product categories.

Facilitate high sales conversion rate through, effective online product presentation.

Understand and influence marketplace partners’ seller health matrix, to ensure the best possible results for company products.

Influence and manage, product ranking on marketplace partners’ category pages.

Key Functional Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Ideally some experience in successfully managing key account in FMCG, Consumer Durables/Lifestyle;

Ideally familiar with the requirements of successful e-commerce; understanding of digital marketing, role of content and search as part of overall e-commerce strategy.

Ideally national or regional chain experience, familiar with all aspects of a chain’s corporate and store operations, having gained the skillset to manage the chain through product category management expertise.
