Edison’s Entertainment Complex is the St. Louis area’s home of GENIUS LEVEL FUN! Located in Edwardsville, IL, Edison’s features 12 lanes of boutique bowling, a 4,000 sq. ft. laser tag arena newly re-themed and with a second level in August 2017, a 65+ game state-of-the-art arcade, 10 party and event spaces, and a full-service bar and restaurant serving with a broad menu. Edison's is always expanding by adding a 225 person event center for private bookings, corporate parties, and will also feature live entertainment for the public.
Job Description
We are seeking an inside/outside sales rep to work with our party guests over the phone and in-person to plan, coordinate, and book their parties and events. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and an eye for detail. Experience in a hospitality or event sales environment is a plus. All applicants should possess great telephone, organizational, and personal skills such as a pleasant demeanor and positive attitude. This full-time position reports to the CEO and requires a five-day work week usually constructed of four weekdays and one weekend day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Field calls and help design and put together contracts to fit the need of customer parties and events.
- Cultivate new business by prospecting both on the phone and in person. Follow up on leads and direct mailings to introduce Edison's to customers.
- Participate in community activities as a means of creating contacts that can be leveraged for business. Chamber involvement, community events, etc.
- Be a part of a three person sales team that handles the flow of sales inquiries and contract creation.
- Be available to assist with welcoming bigger events to interface with the client.
- Interact with the operations and food and beverage departments to ensure that what has been sold gets executed properly and accurately.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree
-Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook
-Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a similar capacity as the job description and/or a retail, or hospitality related environment
- Experience with putting sales proposals together for client presentation
-Team-oriented approach, comfortable with personal interactions, organized.

COMPENSATION:
- Salary Range of $40,000-$45,000 based on experience
- Full Health Benefits paid by employer, 2 weeks of paid vacation, holiday and sick days
-Bonus Program based on performance
