Join a team of procurement professionals
In the Strategic Procurement team, you join 8 colleagues who provide procurement support for our many projects in the BEUMER Group. Together, we ensure an efficient and flexible supply chain with the best possible commercial conditions and minimum risk. Our goal is also to ensure a good project implementation with a high degree of security of supply. 

Joining us, you become part of a social group of colleagues who work well together. We support each other in our daily tasks through cooperation, professional feedback and knowledge sharing. 

Strategic procurement from A to Z
As our new strategic purchaser, you can look forward to solving traditional procurement tasks at an operational level. With responsibility for your own projects and areas, you handle procurement of indirect services and goods i.e. agreements on travel, electricity, facility, etc. In doing so, you will be working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and your task will be to assist with procurement and offer the best possible support in determining the best solutions. Therefore, it is your task to:  

  • Choose the right suppliers, handle negotiations and draw up purchasing agreements
  • Optimise our processes and purchasing patterns
  • Create transparency regarding our procurement spend 
  • Support colleagues in the rest of the procurement team with ad-hoc tasks 
  • Offer back office support to senior colleagues in the team, ensuring that our data is correct and up to date

Knowledge of procurement and solid stakeholder management skills
Your service-minded approach to your tasks and your team-player mindset are key to success in this position. It is vital that you know how to build relationships with your suppliers as well as internally in BEUMER Group where stakeholder management and cooperation are important factors. Consequently, you thrive diving into projects and finding the right solution. When necessary, you draw on the experience and knowledge of your colleagues to do so. Also, you possess an analytical mindset that allows you to keep track of projects as well as the sense of urgency that makes you stand tight with your team as a deadline approaches. 

  • You have experience with procurement, but the position is a development position where you can grow as a purchaser.
  • Your educational background is less important as long as you have experience with procurement.
  • You are a skilled user of MS Office – especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You are fluent in English.
