We are currently adding a Surgical Technician to our Surgery Center staff. This individual will be working full time day shift hours. Surgical Technician is an integral part of the surgical team and is responsible for surgical procedure set-up, and assisting surgeon during surgical procedures. The sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile room.

The successful candidate will have experience as an orthopedic surgical technician, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be detail-oriented, possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to prioritize the workload.

• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program is required.    

• Minimum of one year in an OR setting preferably orthopedic specialty or strong surgical tech skills.    

• BLS certification is needed within 30 days of hire.    

• Outgoing, friendly personality with ability to take initiative.    

• Qualified candidate must have the ability to function effectively in stressful situations and have ability to set up a variety of orthopedic cases including podiatry.    

• Strong ability to handle instruments with manual dexterity.    

• Must be a team player with the ability to take direction and share knowledge with others on the surgical team.    

• Applicant must be prepared to work in a fast paced environment.
