Job Description

The project manager ensures that the needs of high profile customers are being satisfied. Their aim is to provide excellent technical customer service. Project planning of technical field upgrades to pharma machinery.    

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning large upgrades on lines of pharmaceutical processing machinery
  • Prepare quotes in response to customer inquiries, process customer orders; as required it might include contact with Bausch + Stroebel Service Department in Germany for further clarification
  • Handling technical inquiries for spare part and retrofit solutions
  • Advise customers on additional technical services and their benefits
  • Facilitate conference calls with customers and sales department in Germany, attend trade shows
  • Schedule on-site visits for large projects
  • Create SOPs for the customer service and aftermarket sales department

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical  / mechanical aptitude is essential
  • Ability to understand technical  / mechanical context, read schematics, complex blueprints, customer specifications and engineering sketches is required
  • Experience in automation industry is preferred
  • Expertise with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe (a must)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus
  • Excellent technical customer service skills, self-motivated, able to work independently and respond to emergency situations, well organized, willing to self-educate when time allows
  • Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university 

  • 2 - 3 years manufacturing industry experience 

  • Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in manufacturing.

 Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, terms & conditions and specifications.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Additional Information

Hours: M-F, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Home Office / Travel: This position is located in North Branford, CT. This position requires up to 25% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight occasionally.
