Founded in 2001, Applerouth began in Atlanta as a local tutoring group and a labor of love.  We’ve since grown into a flourishing national organization with more than 200 tutors and offices in Atlanta, DC, New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle.  Our students come to us from all over the world and span the gamut from those in pursuit of perfect SAT scores to those struggling to overcome severe learning differences.  While we’ve expanded our reach, we’ve retained our down-to-earth attitude and innovative approach to education.

*This is an in-person role with 1-2 tests per month. We can supplement this time with online tests*

Applerouth Tutoring Services seeks a highly dependable, detailed, organized, professional person able to work independently under minimum supervision. The proctor must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to assignments within the New York City area; the proctor must also have access to a reliable internet connection and computer for proctoring online exams. The proctor should also be able to hold a small inventory of exam materials. Applerouth offers mock testing events in which students can practice taking a standardized test (typically the SAT or the ACT). Proctors are part-time employees and compensated hourly.

Exhibit excellent customer service skills while working with testing candidates. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude even under stressful conditions. Immediate hire.

Major Responsibilities

• Setting up mock materials

• Administer mock tests to student and manage the testing process

• Provide a safe, welcoming and stress free test taking atmosphere

• Opening and closing event locations

• Maintain security and timely return of all test materials ​​​

• College experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

• Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
