Spear Education is hiring a Marketing QA Specialist. The Marketing QA Specialist will utilize usability tools and research methods to provide actionable insights that drive customer acquisition and retention efforts. The qualified applicant will work to improve the usability, usefulness, and overall customer experience.

 

Job Description

Role Overview

  • Work closely with marketers, developers, business owners and graphic designers to test website and digital marketing efforts for optimal user experience. To ensure that the experience is consistent across all prospect and customer interactions.
  • Performs manual usability testing of customer facing web and email efforts including structure of and execution of marketing automation software to ensure that all prospect and customer experiences are exceptional.
  • Assist in reporting and documenting issues for our development team
  • Test and validate features and fixes from our development team
  • Gain a strong understanding of our websites, products, customers and business rules
  • User Experience Research and Improvements
  • View, analyze and make recommendations to improve the online customer experience based on user testing data
  • Review, analyze and make recommendations to improve the online customer experience based on internal feedback collection mechanisms
  • Collaborate with marketing team to assure that user experience in consistent for both online and offline marketing collateral
  • Partner with customer success to understand stakeholder feedback and incorporate changes in future iterations

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in behavioral science or closely related discipline or relevant experience
  • 2+ years experience as an Interaction Designer, User Researcher, and/or Usability Tester
  • Experience in editing or writing a plus
  • Experience with an extensive variety of UX Testing research tools and methods (especially user-centered design processes), and involvement in running a variety of tests.
  • Leadership skills, preferred

 

Additional Information

Position is primarily sedentary in a desk or cubicle environment. Moderate bending, stooping and lifting required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance.

Must be able to visually interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate via telephone and use a variety of computer-based business applications.
