Job Description

The Client Associate (CA) is responsible to support, collaborate and assist the Optiv Client Director’s Cyber Security Programmatic selling efforts.  The Client Associate is an integral part of the Client Director’s strategic account team that will collectively help support 1 to 4 Global Enterprise accounts. With strategic direction from the Client Director, the CA will be jointly responsible for owning and coordinating key aspects of the sales cycle within assigned accounts.  The CA’s selling efforts will align with the Client Director’s business plan for driving year-over-year sales margin growth within the named account base. The CA will also have an active role in cultivating net new business, as well as helping create, manage and maintain existing strategic client relationships.    The Client Associate will work with the Client Director to effectively plan and execute on critical business initiatives throughout the year.  The CA will take initiative in reporting, documenting and communicating all key strategic client and account information back to the Client Director.  The CA will collaborate and leverage the other Client Director’s strategic resources (SA, ISS, IRS, oCISO, Advisory Services) with the overall goal to deliver Optiv’s Cyber Security Program.  The CA will also be responsible but not limited to the following:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help drive a large sales pipeline within the assigned accounts and achieve or exceeding sales margin objectives assigned annually.
  • Help be a liaison between the customer and Optiv on all aspects of the customer’s strategic and tactical security plans.Effectively communicate Optiv value proposition.
  • Build strong relationships within the customer’s organization to identify problems and assist the customer in finding appropriate solutions as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Build strong relationships with technology partners and respective field sales reps/management (inside and outside) to gather leads and be introduced into sales opportunities.
  • Monitor and mediate all necessary communication between customer, vendor, and technical resources within each account.
  • Maintain internal communications with Optiv team relative to specific opportunities and the associated requirements.
  • Accurately and consistently maintain sales forecast.
  • Drive attendance to regional marketing events.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of partner pricing models and deal registration programs.
  • Set proper expectations and maintain open communication with clients and vendors through the lifecycle of the sales process.
  • Effectively leverage supporting resources in the sales process with the spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Professionally develop and present sales presentations to large groups and executive level clients.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Some experience in solution and services based sales through work in an Information Technology environment typically gained over 1-3 years.
  • Proven ability to build and execute territory and account plan with a track record of exceeding quota.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior detailed writing skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of the IT Security market and competitors.
  • Strong relationships with key executives and sponsors within the region.
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk/ Compliance market and competitors.
  • Experience and knowledge of the IT Infrastructure market and competitors.
  • History of Awards/Recognition for exceptional sales initiative and ability
