The Video Editor will assemble video content to support Spear's mission of creating best in class educational products and ensuring that all video content is delivered 100% on time and continues to elevate Spear's standard for video quality.


DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute post-production (editing) of educational and promotional video content with 100% adherence to project deadlines and Spear quality standards
  • Arrange, edit, key, and color correct raw footage according to departmental standards using specified tools and applications
  • Execute production (filming) of educational and promotional video content with 100% adherence to filming timelines and Spear quality standards
  • Provide constructive direction and guidance to on-camera talent to elicit the best possible delivery of their content
  • Partner with Video Production Lead to actively engage in individual and departmental activities that support creation of the best educational and promotional video content
  • Participate in weekly one-on-one's with Project Manager and Video Production Lead to align on priorities and convey status of all ongoing projects and progress against deadlines
  • Manage individual project pipeline to ensure delivery of assigned video content to achieve all 2018 Content launch milestones for Spear Educational and promotional video projects

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a post-production role 
  • Associates, Bachelors, or Technical School certificate in Video Production or similar field of study
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiar wtih creating and animating motion graphics
  • Demonstrated ability to stage, light productions, operate video cameras and sound recording equipment
  • Experience filming in a green screen studio and keying on-screen talent
  • Good understanding of video production equipment, video artistic styles, techniques, methodologies, and       effects
  • Familiarity with basic design concepts including color theory and typography
  • Knowledge and experience using Mac computer systems
  • Experience with video compression for online distribution, a plus
  • Familiarity operating Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro camera, as well as Panasonic GH5, a plus
