Job Description

Job Summary

Provide full-time support onsite with customer by managing Return Material Authorization (RMA) actions, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting GATR training. Serve as the onsite Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GATR-related issues and communicate results to Program Manager and all other functional areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Program Manager and Production to initiate the RMA process
  • Inspect RMA materials and identify required/suggested repairs/upgrades to meet GATR quality standards
  • Track RMA progress through Operations/Test/Final QC and provide a weekly summary of all RMA’s to customer and at weekly production meeting
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to estimate cost and timing for repairs/upgrades
  • Coordinate with Program Managers to define repair/upgrade agreements
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and conduct depot and field level repairs
  • Travel locally to customer and end user sites to support training and technical support issues
  • Identify training needs; Provide training courses and material for customer trainers and technicians on GATR products
  • Participate in weekly scheduled meetings and travel to GATR headquarters on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis
  • Identify and maintain customer spares and stock inventory of GATR products
  • Provide input, advice, and assistance during customer integration activities with GATR-related equipment

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of SATCOM fundamentals and communications technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of production and execution of work instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Credentials and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a communications, manufacturing, or integration environment
  • SATCOM experience required

Special Requirements

  • Some travel required (at least 25%)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors when necessary, and have the physical flexibility to kneel, squat, bend, or stand for extended periods of time
