Are you a graphic designer who loves variety of projects, is very versatile with style and complexity, able to come up with new engaging concepts across many types of programs and platforms? Are you a self-starter with great time management and the ability to add in extra work to your current schedule whenever necessary? 

Jpixx is expanding its network of freelancers and is looking for a graphic designer to fill in when necessary. We are looking for someone to work locally with us, often stopping into our Virginia Beach office. 

*This is a freelance - as needed position. 

Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is a self-starter, who can perform quality detailed work, handle multiple assignments, and possess strong time management skills.
• Communication is key. Not only will the person need to be confident when working with the people working most closely but also the rest of the office, clients and other freelancers.
• Projects vary, must be able to efficiently and effectively manage own work schedule in order to deliver to the required deadlines.
• The designer must be able to contribute to the entire creative process from concept to final execution. This will include, but not be limited to: initial design to final pre-press of a variety of print items; work directly with vendors for obtaining materials, print specs and graphics, strategy of content and visuals for presentations, web design needs and other platforms when needed.

Qualifications:

• An understanding of branded materials across all marketing channels.
• Produce attractive and effective designs across all media, with a strong understanding of typography, print and layout.
• Professionally communicate through email, phone and in person - always keeping others in the loop.
• Experience with a variety of design styles, such as corporate to organic freeform
• Develop creative ideas, take creative direction and creative criticism. 
• Strong work ethic, and can perform at a high level.
• Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
• Superior attention to detail, even at a fast pace.
• Good organizational skills, who can follow process, and support the rest of the team.
• Concept, design and layout of print, digital, presentation.
• Making edits to existing projects.
• Image sourcing as required.
• Brainstorming new ideas for future marketing efforts.
• Managing of work in progress, creative folders and assets.
• Required Technologies:

  • Google Suite
  • Wordpress
• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year-experience in print production
