Job Description

Our 2 year European Graduate Program offers you the chance to work on 2 x 1 year assignments, often in 2 different European countries, where you will strengthen your skills and shape your future personally and professionally.

The Operations & Supply Chain Stream is an ideal entry point for graduates with the energy and drive to define and deliver world-class manufacturing processes, products and services. You will work in a very dynamic environment, assuming real challenging projects with talented people to support your development. You will have the opportunity to work in different areas of our Operations and Supply Chain departments, which will enable you to gain the knowledge and experience to build a successful international career path.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Avery Dennison will provide you with both, on-the-job experience and functional training such as Lean & Six Sigma Management, but will also focus on personal development and management skills. We offer an interactive team environment, where your capabilities and skills will be developed to build a strong career foundation. 

During the 2 years program you may take on activities such as:

  • Products quality improvement

  • Reduction of waste and obsolescence of bulk products across the whole European network

  • Increasing productivity of our production machines

  • Support finishing planners with the management of waste (offcut) and cheese stock composition

  • Support coating plants in achieving service and inventory targets

  • Manufacturing key projects and people management roles can be considerd for the 2ndyear rotation

Positions such as Process Engineer, Production Team Leader, Lean Sigma Project Leader, Quality Engineer and Supply Chain Analyst are some of the potential positions offered immediately after the 2 year program.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are just about to complete – or have recently completed – a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant Engineering degree like Mechanical / Chemical / Manufacturing / Environmental & Safety Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain & Logistics or equivalent. A maximum of 2 years of professional experience in an international environment is a plus.

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and creative thinkers. But we’re also looking for people who:

  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Enjoy a varied, fast-moving environment

  • Are global team players

  • Are willing and flexible to relocate into different projects & locations across Europe during the 2 years program

  • Are fluent in English with preferably one additional European language

  • Can effectively communicate at all levels of the organization

Additional Information

The next program start date is 01.10.2019.

For the European Graduate Program, an unlimited EU Work Permit is required. The rotations during the 2 years program will be at designated locations across Europe.
