Job Description

VVL Systems is looking for high-caliber consulting engineer who will lead our Microsoft Azure and Cloud Solutions Partner capability portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have deep operational, technical, delivery, and implementation experience in Microsoft's cloud portfolio (Azure and Productivity products such as Office 365).

Key Role and Responsibilities 

  • Own, lead, and manage all aspects of customer engagement and engineering requirements.
  • Act as consultative lead in process and requirements analysis and application configuration
  • Track progress of deliverables and interface with customer towards implementing services on schedule and on budget
  • Recognize issues and risks and proactively document and manage/resolve those with the customer and VVL Systems project managers and sponsors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with assigned customers and VVL Systems Project Management team.
  • Incorporate and drive best practices into the product and methodology, including our best practice.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of server virtualization, network architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications a must, such as:
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)

  • Familiarity and knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 architecture and use cases.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Solutions Partner program.

Telecommuting (working from home) available, travel is ad-hoc pending customer needs (< 25% of travel, but we are customer focused and strive to ensure we have a personal relationship with customer engagements which involves Face-to-Face meetings and onsite travel when needed).

Qualifications

The candidate shall have:

  • BA/BS and a minimum of five years of prior consulting/professional services and project management experience; 
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Azure suite of products.
  • Direct experience with consulting engineering efforts including implementation, configuration, and operation.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills with ability to facilitate meetings, conduct trainings, and conducting consulting activities
  • Experience as a lead in customer engagements involving software and/or hardware projects
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Service Delivery Management, Service Portfolio Management, Six Sigma or equivalent desirable.
