Job Description

This is your chance to join a highly dynamic Supply Chain department, where you will play a key role in ensuring that all materials are delivered on time, efficiently and cost-effectively. Moreover, you will take on a central role, being the department´s SAP implementation representative for the first 1-2 years.

Join a dynamic operations environment
Reporting to the Transport Manager In- & Outbound Logistics, you arrange the efficient and cost-effective delivery of all materials to site, working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement and our transport providers. As one of four Transport Coordinators, you will be part of the Supply Chain department, where you will have 28 colleagues. 

In this role you will also function as the SAP implementation representative of your department, for 1-2 years during the implementation phase, where you will be working closely together with colleagues in Aarhus as well as in Beckum in Germany. During the implementation phase, your main focus will be the SAP project, and once the implementation is done you will function as the department´s SAP super-user.

Work with the supply chain to timely project delivery
As a Transport Coordinator, you ensure that all deliveries to the project are made on time as well as on budget. This entails making sure that all required documentation is produced correctly and that all charges are paid to suppliers on time. To succeed, you work closely with colleagues across the Supply Chain, as meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers is a joint effort. Moreover, a key part of your job is to ensure that transport providers deliver as required, motivating them to achieve mutual success.

Specifically, your tasks include:

  • Planning deliveries in collaboration with the supply chain and planning backwards to ensure that the required deliveries are possible
  • Choosing transportation methods and suppliers based on reputation, price and need
  • Negotiating with service providers to secure the most cost-efficient service and ensuring that all terms of agreement are documented in writing
  • Arranging and booking all necessary deliveries globally. In- & outbound BEUMER Group production facilities as well as cross trade shipments, preparing all necessary documentation for export/import in different parts of the world
  • Ensuring transparency by filing all necessary documents, making delivery schedules available in report forms, SOP's and paying all suppliers on time
  • Participating in the implementation of SAP across the organization, working closely together with colleagues in both Denmark and Germany.

Freight forwarder or shipping agent with an appetite for unpredictability
You come from either a freight industry background, where you have learned to assess the critical nature of a situation and to confer with colleagues to clarify your customer’s needs and come up with the best solutions, or from a shipping/logistics role in an international company. Equally importantly, you thrive in a dynamic environment where decisions are swift and plans frequently revised. In addition:

  • You are either a qualified freight forwarder or an experienced shipping agent, and you are familiar with compliance regulations and customs rules globally as well as export control and sanctions.
  • You have experience working in a project or sales and operations environment.
  • You have excellent negotiation skills and know how to answer requests from both the CEO and the hourly paid worker.
  • You speak and write English fluently.
  • You are a confident Office user
  • You possess extensive SAP skills, enabling you to function as a SAP representative
  • You are willing to travel up to 50 days a year for the first 1-2 years during the SAP implementation phase
