HSMC provides shared business and consulting services to both non-profit and proprietary Human Services Agencies. These services include accounting, payroll, third-party billing and collections; human resources; online and live Continuing Education; marketing; facility development; and quality assurance programs.

HSMC is currently seeking a full time General Ledger Accountant!

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for ensuring completion of all journal entries necessary to provide financial statements, general ledger comparative schedules between budget and actual line items with a variance column and other schedules from the accounting system as required
• Assist with contract renewals
• Preparation of client company UFR including any back-up schedules required
• Responsible for oversight of bank reconciliations as prepared by the bookkeepers
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining an inventory system and a fixed asset system including the appropriate depreciation schedules
• Responsible for verification of Accounts Payable, timely preparation of annual reports, Certificates of Good Standing and other reports as required
• Preparation of renewal of insurance policies for client companies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Accounting/Finance background
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience required
• Must be a positive, self-reliant team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem resolution skills
• Must have ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and to meet deadlines
• Experience in a multi-site organization engaged in Human Services is highly desired
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
