Senior Financial Analyst

Kala is an emerging pharmaceutical company on the verge of commercialization. We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to assist with analytics and budget planning.   This is an opportunity for the right individual to join Kala at a very exciting time.  Come join an experienced and highly motivated team!

Key Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Work with internal business partners to compile budgets and forecasts ensuring a strong attention to detail

• Utilize understanding of budgets and forecasts to create high quality variance and trend analysis on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis

• Ability to adapt to new processes and work to create processes where needed

• Create models to analyze data for business plans and proposals for new or additional products and services

• Prepare analytical reports to deliver to all levels of management

• Provides analytical and other analysis to support budgets, as needed

• Additional projects as assigned

Our ideal candidate will have:    

• BA/BS Accounting or Finance

• 5-7 years combined accounting, financial analysis & reporting experience

• Experience analyzing financial statements required

• CPA certification preferred but not required

• Experience working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective communication Skills

• Proficient in excel

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering a high-quality work product

Kala has applied the MPP technology to a corticosteroid designed for ocular applications, resulting in two lead product candidates.
