Stellar Industrial Supply, a distributor of Industrial MRO, metalworking, safety and 3M products, has an immediate need for an experienced Warehouse worker in our branch in Portland, OR.

It is the responsibility of the Warehouse Associate to work as a responsible member of the Customer Experience Team and to provide excellent service to our customers by supporting all branch functions with efficiency and accuracy in the warehouse. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

More specifically, it is the responsibility of the Warehouse Associate to:

1) Accurately and efficiently pick, pack and process customer orders and transfers:

a) Understand basic ERP system (P21) Order Entry and Transfer Entry functions

b) Use ERP and WWMS (Wireless Warehouse Management Solution) to accurately pick customer orders and transfers

c) Pack orders and transfers properly for shipping, with appropriate paperwork and labeling

d) Prepare and ship orders using ERP and UPS system, recording shipments properly and shipping using instructions from the order

e) Perform all tasks safely and securely

2) Accurately receive, put away and cycle count inventory:

a) Understand basic Purchase Order Entry (PO) function

b) Use ERP system and WWMS to record receipt of PO and transfer items in a timely fashion 

c) Communicate with all the proper departments about problem shipments

d) Put stock away in a quick and timely manner in appropriate, assigned locations

e) Perform cycle counts based on branch commitment to 100% count 2x annually

3) Conduct yourself as a responsible Stellar employee and co-worker:

a) Display a consistent positive, can-do attitude at all times in a fast paced environment

b) Keep area clean and neat, free of safety hazards

c) Maintain constant and clear communication with your manager on impediments to progress or suggestions for improvements

d) Attend scheduled training sessions on product and process related content as necessary

e) Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures

• Previous Warehouse related experience is required, prefer 2-3 years

• Proficient with MS Office

• Must be able to learn and operate a forklift

• Requires standing, stooping, reaching and walking for continuous periods of time

• Must be able to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis

• Must be able to perform repetitive work with your hands and arms
