We partner with schools, charities, governments and various educational institutions to be able to provide the support to those who need it the most.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking passionate and experienced English tutors to deliver our online live tutoring lessons for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Tutoring over the Internet can be challenging and that why our tutors are focussed on making every lesson exciting and entertaining by using their roleplay, humor, and energy. Our tutors excel at creating a personal and effective online learning experience for the students that we work with.

What We Offer:

Competitive Pay Rate

$10 to $15 USD per hour (depending on experience)

Flexible Hours

Our lessons occur between 12PM to 2PM GMT, Monday to Sunday. Select the times that you are available and spend the rest of the day doing the things that you love.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver 50 minutes Live Interactive one-to-one Tutorials- Internet video interaction with students from around the world.

• Work with students between the ages of 13 and 16 to teach ESL/EFL to varying levels (predominantly from absolute beginner to lower intermediate).

• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their conversational skills

• Create a safe, positive, respectful and supportive online environment, to help students successfully complete learning goals and progress to a higher level of English communication proficiency

• Work flexible hours coordinated with each client's Schedule.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• A native English Speaker

• Committed availability for the agreed time slots for a 2 month period.

• Qualified home office/location with an internet-connected computer with webcam capability (see hardware & software section below)

• Minimum three-month or equivalent combination of ESL/EFL teaching experience, including part-time, volunteer, community and coaching activities

• Strong communication skills interacting with ESL/EFL students

• Must be punctual at all times and follow the agreed-upon lesson schedule

• Passionate about teaching languages to students around the globe and understand cultural sensitivities that may require adaption of the content used to teach.

Desired: 

• ESL Teacher training certifications: TESOL/TESL/TEFL/CELTA

• ESL/EFL teaching experience, which may include a combination of part-time, volunteer, community and coaching activities.

• Have an externally generated background check, including a criminal record report (A recent DBS certificate for UK based applicants)

• Latest version of the Chrome of browser.

Internet Bandwidth

• Minimum 10Mb/1.5mb (download/upload) per second
