Job Description

As our Digital Engagement Manager, you lead communication, account management, digital marketing strategy development, and execution for your growth-minded and ever-evolving clients. You will be collaborating alongside a cross-disciplinary team of designers and strategists to turn marketing plans into measurable impact. 

In summary, you will be responsible for: 

  • Effectively managing scope and scope delivery
  • Managing your clients’ expectations, satisfaction, and overall success
  • Coordinating with creative, brand, and data to generate results for your clients 
  • Managing your clients’ content strategy
  • Ensuring proper implementation of all digital marketing efforts

Part client consultant and part practitioner, you're capable of seeing the big picture and also putting in the work. 

Client Management & Day-to-Day Communication
Client service is an art. You are one of the great masters. When your clients want to know why, you give them the answers, in their own language. As their primary contact, you serve them as a professional guide to all things digital marketing and strategy. 

Strategic Planning & Consulting
You never get tired of starting sentences with, “What are your goals?” You:

  • Ask the right questions to map your clients’ marketing funnels
  • Are comfortable developing personas based on research and data 
  • Can articulate how social and digital is important to an overall marketing strategy

While we're most proficient in social, you bring a holistic view of digital marketing to the table. 

Digital Marketing Execution 
You understand how social and digital media drives business growth, and have the track record to prove it. Alongside your team, you help:

  • Write compelling ad copy taking into the audience’s funnel stage
  • Oversee and occasionally build traffic and lead generating campaigns
  • Draft reports that summarize what we are learning and what’s next 

Beyond a channel expert, you’re a ‘people expert’, capable of sifting through the noisy web to identify and target the truly relevant audiences for your clients. 
 

Qualifications

If we asked you to list your qualifications, they would include:

  • Demonstrated results for past clients including but not limited to:
    • Audience and engagement growth
    • Organic and paid traffic 
    • Lead and customer acquisition
    • Automated marketing management
  • Superb project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing environments
  • An understanding of the mechanics and nuances of each social media platform including how to build successful ads
  • Passion for digital marketing, creative advertising, and brand building
  • Terrific writing skills with the ability to craft compelling copy that drives action
  • Experience overseeing paid campaigns on Facebook, and familiarity with other digital ad platforms
  • 3-5+ years of relevant, professional experience in a marketing or agency team setting
  • Experience working with landing pages to drive upper funnel conversions
  • Experience working with Google Analytics 
  • Maintains a working knowledge of SEO principles and practices
  • Experience using monitoring, measurement, and project management tools
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Above and beyond qualifications:

  • Experience in hands-on landing page optimization and SEO
  • A knack for developing voice and tone in the social and digital media space
  • Experience with social media monitoring and audience analysis tools
  • Experience managing a content marketing effort with multiple contributors

A) HIRING PROCESS:

  1. Candidate submits a complete application including attachments (see: section above).
  2. Select candidates will be offered 60-minute interviews with Sculpt’s Hiring Committee.
  3. Candidates will be sent home with a small assignment to complete within 48 hours of the interview.
  4. Top candidates will be offered 75-minute in-person interview with the full Sculpt team, followed by a 15-minute debrief with the CEO.
  5. The chosen candidate will be offered a full-time position. Celebration to follow.

B) TIMING:
This position is available for interview immediately. A hiring decision will be made as soon as possible.

C) EXPECTATIONS:

  • Chosen candidates will interview and meet at our office, located in downtown Iowa City at 105 E College Street.
  • Candidates will be asked to work in our Iowa City office, though partial remote working is possible after an initial onboarding period.
