Job Description

Beaullieu & Associates is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity Trainer for a Direct Placement with a San Antonio area Government Contractor.   This position requires an active Top Secret - SCI Clearance. 

Seeking experienced instructor that comes with a background in the Information Technology (IT) field that involves knowledge within the Risk Management Framework and/or the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) process.  

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct technical and managerial level training on Information Assurance (IA) topics primarily using curriculum provided by the Government.  
  • Develop additional technical and managerial IA training material and curriculum to enable compliance with USAF, DoD, IC and other national agency standards.  
  • This training shall keep AF IC IT security professionals familiar with the various IT security tools, policies and procedures required to protect resources and meet standards.
  • Training critiques will be used to assess the instructor performance and update training materials.  
  • Develop training curriculum and provide IT security training to military, civilians and contractors of all levels. 
  • Training objectives shall be kept current and be in compliance with policy. Curriculum shall be provided to the Government ten (10) working days before the training class begins. Training shall be conducted IAW approved training policy.
  • Knowledge in AF IC policies, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), TEMPEST, and Security Authorization Documentation, is highly desirable.  
  • Knowledge in Security Control Assessments and vulnerability assessments is highly desirable. 
  • The trainer will acquire feedback from the students during and after the course on how to improve the course but also what the students are looking to get out of the course.
  • Work with cross functional teams and internal users to enforce technical security standards by providing assistance in applying established standards to policies.  
  • Complete meeting minutes as defined by the COR.
  • Create, maintain and dispose of only those Government required records and supporting documentation that are specifically cited in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) or required by the provisions of a mandatory directive. 
  • Edits existing Government documents, prepare briefings to update the Government on the status of actions and coordinate with all project members to meet the goals and objectives of the assigned task.
  • Submit weekly status updates through the contractor lead for quality control and consolidation into one (1) weekly activity report to be provided to the COR. 
  • Complete trip reports for each trip taken. 
  • Shall travel to areas within and outside the continental United States and comply with the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of experience providing formal briefings/training sessions.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with AF DCGS and IC IT security controls preferred. 
  • At least two (2) years of experience in creating an AF formal training program preferred.
  • Shall travel to areas within and outside the continental United States and comply with the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). 
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level-2 (CAP, CASP, GSLC, CISM or CISSP) with continuation education.   
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelors in Computer Information Systems is preferred
