Job Description

Beaullieu & Associates is seeking candidates for a Network Operations Support Specialist for a Direct Placement with a San Antonio area Government Contractor.   This position requires an active Top Secret - SCI Clearance. 

Provide Network\Router Operations expertise to Operate, and Defend the USAFs long-haul enterprise network, NIPR \ SIPR Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS). Provide support to control all variables and allocations e.g. IP Addresses, VLANs, VRFs, and IP routes. Provide in-depth protocol analysis with tools such as TCPdump and other network devices involved in the execution of the 26 NOS JRSS mission. Contractor expertise required for the JRSS Operational support is in addition to the on-going support required in the day to day mission of the 26 NOS. The contractor shall leverage the capabilities of the 26 NOS Network Monitoring Tools to provide an effective, proactive security posture.

 

Duties:

  • Managing daily operations, responsibilities include, routing, switching, firewalls, general data communications. ·
  • Assembles, installs, maintains, modifies and/or repairs Voice Over Internet Protocol telecommunications network systems and equipment.·
  • Configure and maintain 26 NOS operated NIPR and SIPR Service Delivery Points (SDP)·
  • Configure and maintain the AF common user Virtual Private Network (AFVPN)·
  • Configure and maintain the AF Voiceover Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) enclave·
  • Cross-training of team individuals which is required to support the 26 NOS operating strategy to ensure back up team members for the VOIP operations and system administration as required·Standard daily operations and critical team back up support requirements

Qualifications

  • Associates Level Certification (CCNA) with 5 Years’ experience performing router/network operation support·
  • TS-SCI clearance in JPAS required·
  • IAT Level II Certification – Security+ ce, CCNA-Security, GSEC·
  • Must have knowledge of larger networks and AF Gateways and DoD GiG, and Military/DoD security architectures·
  • Required to solve mission critical problems and issues across a broad spectrum of duties and responsibilities on a daily basis to ensure the Air Force network is operational and secure from foreign intrusion 24 hours’ daily·
  • Experience with CISCO Multi- Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) ·
  • Experience with Border Gateway Protocol routing (BGP)·
  • Experience with CISCO ASA· Experience with F5 Load Balancer · Must be able to meet all contract deliverables, project meetings, milestones, reviews, inspections, base configuration timelines, status of applicable Air Force (AF) Forms, all required permits, quality assurance inspections and unique tasks and events requests ·
  • Must be able to provide network discovery tool maintenance on Government provided hosting equipment by applying vendor release patches, and operating system security patches.
  • Produce monthly release IAW CM plan· Must be familiar with DISA Applications Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)·
  • Must be able to operate and meet imposed deadlines· Must be able to research and help develop solutions for cybersecurity requirements
