IBI Group’s Seattle office is searching for a Deputy Sector Lead for our US Buildings sector to join its growing team. You will assist the Director, US Sector Lead, Buildings in meeting IBI’s strategic objectives of significantly growing our US practices in the next 3 years and beyond.

Most of the things you’ll work on:

  • Assist the Director with management of the US Buildings Sector and business development with a private sector focus in the Eastern United States
  • Maintain and grow current client relationships primarily in the Living + (Urban Mixed Use development, residential, hospitality, office and Ageless Living), and Interiors while supporting all of the Sub sectors that IBI practices in, including Education, Civic, Healthcare and Industrial projects
  • Develop and maintain key ties in the Building Practice
  • Coordinate cross sector collaboration efforts with other sector leads
  • Create/develop inter-office working relationships
  • Review proposals and presentations with Office Leads when requested
  • Inspire confidence as a subject matter expert
  • Provide high level guidance for complex projects
  • This position will be 40% – 50% billable

Qualifications

You'll need to have:

  • Masters’ degree in Architecture
  • 15 years project management experience
  • Licensed Architect with current registration
  • Ability to think strategically and with an equal interest in business and practice issues
  • Existing relationships in the following private sectors; mixed use residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, entertainment, senior facilities
  • Experience with large complex projects within a large multi-disciplinary practice
  • Demonstrate creativity, passion and interest in design and planning
  • Experience managing multiple offices is an asset
  • Up to 30% travel
