Summary: The Lead Enterprise Systems Analyst enhances and builds education technology solutions that set the technology bar for the University. We are a continuous integration shop and are always looking for ways to optimize and enrich the user experience.

This role will service high-scale business-critical applications, integrations and API’s while performing strategic design & architecture, software product maintenance, and complex development of new product features. We are looking for a leader to join us in solving technical challenges and leveraging your experience in building scalable applications and implementing commercial packaged applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership for full application development life cycle and the iteration and refinement of software through phases such as conceptualization, coding, test, launch, and iteration
• Implement solutions and integrate systems based on business requirements and strategic direction. Take ownership of problems and drive business towards resolution
• Acquire and maintain an expert level of knowledge relative to the product and applicable business domain
• Identify potential impacts of new systems/ processes and guide implementation to ensure reliability.
• Establish working partnerships with business units and ITS teams to coordinate problem resolution for operational issues, and analyze root cause issues to address underlying systems/process problems.
• Manage data standards, integrity, and the governance model for various enterprise systems.
• Manage and monitor integration work for disparate systems.
• Actively look to maximize existing university investments and leverage existing systems to solve identified business problems.
• Able to work independently on complex projects and acts as a team leader for technical management
• Manage difficult conversations with appropriate tact and professionalism
• Liaise with vendors during software selection, implementation, and for ongoing support
• Ensure service level agreements are met daily.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required
• Predisposition to taking proactive, comprehensive ownership of technical issues.
• 3+ years’ experience in a technical lead capacity for a high performing platform management and software development team
• 8+ years of progressive experience with enterprise applications (ERP, CMS, LMS, SharePoint, etc) and relational database platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral & written communication skills required.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate project groups.
• Strong grasp of programming languages and database platforms (ASP.NET, PHP, HTML, CSS, XML, MS SQL Server and MySQL) and a willingness to learn new ones
• Higher Education/Academic systems experience highly desirable.
• Highly flexible and extremely efficient, doesn’t mind multiple iterations on the way to the right answers
• Highly motivated and works well independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to work well with deadlines, multiple interruptions and under occasional stress at times.
