Job flexibility, new connections and a deeper understanding of philanthropy are just three of the benefits that Capital Development Services’ new Database Administrator / Analyst will enjoy with our company, a leading nonprofit consulting firm serving clients in the southeastern U.S. We provide experienced counsel to assist nonprofit clients with feasibility studies, development assessments, capital campaign planning and preparation, campaign implementation, and executive searches. This part-time position will:

Essential Job Functions

  • Is (or becomes) highly proficient in eTapestry and serves as the lead database administrator and in-house expert, including but not limited to the following:
    • Enter all new contacts accurately, including market research, donor and leader data, networking contacts, updates from staff, etc.
    • Enter gift data shared by staff
    • Ensure that data is cleaned periodically and remains updated and accurate
    • Build queries and export search lists to Excel
    • Generate reports for distribution to staff and counsel
  • Report any issues, recommendations for improvements, and pertinent changes to staff
  • Respond to requests from staff and counsel for reports and database inquiries as necessary and in a timely manner
  • Have experience performing data analytics to be an asset to the company when counseling clients on best practices for analyzing their own data and developing strategies to capitalize on findings

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • eTapestry or Blackbaud database knowledge preferred, some database experience required
  • In addition to expertise with eTapestry, knowledge of other fundraising databases and database protocol useful
  • Understanding of data reporting possibilities and aptitude for numbers
  • High degree of organization skills
  • Strong PC skills and aptitude for learning software. Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and also interact effectively with staff

Job Type: Part-time Contract Position, 40 hours a month
