Job Description

Luckie & Company is seeking a Project Manager who can plan, manage and monitor a collection of marketing projects, across one or multiple clients. Projects may entail Luckie’s full scope of services, including traditional media, print, broadcast and digital development (with current priority & emphasis on Print projects). This role will direct and coordinate the day-to-day delivery efforts on assigned accounts and insures that Luckie provides:

  • Sound and responsible project management and planning.
  • Proper and innovative execution of work in all areas on schedule.
  • A consistently superior creative product.

The Project Manager reports to the Director of Project Management. As assigned, the Project Manager has overall responsibility for leading the project/campaign delivery. Within the agency, the Project Manager is the leader/coordinator for the client and works closely with all agency personnel in determining project scope, estimating, planning, executing and monitoring assigned projects and deliverables. Oversees and motivates project teams. As required, the Project Manager may have direct client contact with assigned agency clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

Planning, Analyzing & Evaluating

· Develops workable budgets, resource plans and realistic timelines

· Works with client team or discipline leads to estimate costs and timing; works with account team in the creation of project specifications and timelines

· Works with Resource Management to ensure that projects are appropriately staffed, including both employee and contract resources

· Provides (internal) client updates on a regular basis to demonstrate progress and potential threats to business

· Determines project risk on an ongoing basis, escalates issues as needed

· Monitors and enforces project constraints (schedule / scope / resources) and out of scope requests, initiates additional estimates and approvals

Project Execution & Delivery

· Manages assigned projects, involved with client projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion against deadlines

· Coordinates all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by: facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc,), communicating action steps to team, and delivering weekly status reports to project team, the client and management.

· Maintains communications with appropriate agency and client personnel to ensure positive workflow. Escalating exceptions and issues to Director-level as required.

· Supports overall project quality assurance – reviewing outputted deliverables against scope and partnering with appropriate QA and Proofreading personnel

Financial & Administrative

· Develops, maintains and disseminates all project documentation such as status reports, change orders, project schedules, budgets, and post mortem reviews. Ensures that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes and is reviewed and approved.

· Creates detailed resource assignments to ensure appropriate staff awareness and utilization against project/campaign deliverables

· Monitors all internal and external costs for assigned projects, including estimates vs. actuals

· Creates and/or maintains all project backup, status reports, estimates, schedules, change orders, technical and production specs and any other associated backup

· Manages project financial lifecycle, including estimates, revenue forecasts, budget wrap-ups, etc.

Qualifications

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing/Advertising, Digital or Broadcast production

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing print campaigns from start to completion, including Creative Traffic workflow, preferably in an agency environment

· Emerging knowledge of web design and development methodology

· Experience in integrated marketing campaigns preferred

· Client-facing communication experience during project execution

· Strong attention to detail and project management abilities in a leadership role

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to self-manage while managing assigned teams and projects under tight deadlines

· Exhibits strong listening skills and the ability to tactfully communicate position on relevant issues to reach team consensus
