Spear Education is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will work closely with the VP, Marketing, Sales and other corporate functions to support analytics and improvement in Spear Practice Services and Spear Education’s processes and performance. This person will play a major role in establishing financial process and driving improved business case analysis, forecasting, benchmarking and financial modeling. The role will be responsible for improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), line of business performance reporting and other ad hoc metrics to support critical business initiatives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Provide in-depth business case analysis for new services and projects as add-ons to the consulting services
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
• Provide insightful analysis of key business drivers and communicate relevant financial metrics to multiple constituencies
• Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in marketing programs and pricing
• Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
• Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
• Provide additional ad hoc analytical support as needed
• Act as a liaison between the business user groups and technical systems groups
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• Oversee and manage the continued automation of the KPI reports to the extent possible

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5-7 years of finance experience 
• Excellent analytical capabilities
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Solid financial modeling skills
• Strong MS Office proficiency

Preferred

• MBA
• Prior experience with valuation or financial modeling
• Subscription or SaaS based revenue generation
• Experience with a Private Equity owned structure
• Previous experience with NetSuite

Core Competencies

• Candidate should demonstrate ability to identify an issue, evaluate, and provide a recommendation using economic based thought processes
• Candidate must have experience in the creating excel based analytics used to evaluate financial scenarios
• Candidate must have experience in detailed financial reporting, budgeting and analysis for executive leadership audiences
• Candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
