Job Description

Spear is looking for a Study Club Sales Manager who is looking to lead the charge in our world-class sales team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is a player/coach role in which you will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Our fast-paced, energetic environment provides opportunities for huge growth potential! Role Snapshot  

  • Lead daily standups focused on rep activity and objectives from previous day and current.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and feedback through regular cadence in both formal and informal settings with team members.
  • Work closely with Director of sales, VP of Business Development and Customer Success Managers to refine & implement best practices and identify & resolve challenges.
  • Drive attendance into Spear Specialists workshops through first-rate sales execution and strategic collaboration with marketing.
  • Take ownership of departments success in specialist growth subscription programs by defining processes, go to market strategies and driving sales effectiveness.
  • Work in the trenches with sales team reps by personally prospecting, working and coaching leaders resulting in new club formations as an individual contributor.
  • Provide scripting and talk tracks for leaders to make personal calls and emails to invitees
  • Leverage Inside Sales team to confirm members prior to onboarding meeting and begin building the value or Spear
  • Ensure that handoff to Customer Success team leads to 90% retention and less than 5% member cancellation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales management experience required with strong proven leadership skills
  • Proven ability to create and execute on processes aimed at finding efficiencies and opportunities within a business unit
  • Proven ability to convert leads to opportunities to closed-won with experience selling a multi-tiered product, preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint and CRMs
  • Basic business mathematics and metrics driven.
  • Work well in a team environment and present a professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to take initiative and direction

 

Additional Information

This is mostly a sedentary position, where normal bending, stooping, stopping, walking and lifting are required. The ability to visually interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate via telephone and a variety of computer-based business applications. This is an office type environment with normal noise levels, and comfortable temperatures,
