Our client, a global company in the Semiconductors industry, is looking for an experienced Purchasing manager.

The main responsibilities of the job are:

• To contribute to the corporate commodities strategy and purchasing policy for the plant,
• To support the Group’s commodities managers in implementing the strategy,
• To negotiate and conclude the purchasing of key products or services, 
• To establish framework agreements to manage stocks and costs reduction,
• To qualify suppliers, and develop a list of approved suppliers and monitor supplier performance,
• To support Production or R & D departments especially during disputes with suppliers,
• To explore the markets and select new suppliers,
• To ensure the achievement of purchasing objectives - quantitative, qualitative, organizational and financial objectives,
• To establish procedures, methodologies and tools in order to improve purchasing department’s performance,
• To manage and support the purchasing team in charge of direct materials (substrates, gold…) and indirect materials (services, equipments…).

In order to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will be a contract and process specialist, who demonstrates excellent negotiation skills to be used externally but also internally, and who is comfortable navigating in a global matrix working environment. He/she will be able to deliver on targets while managing successfully the buying team.

• Diploma / Bachelor in Purchasing or Business Administration or Other
• 10-15 years as a Purchaser in a similar industry
• 3-5 years as a Purchasing manager with direct reports
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to think out of the box
• Proven track record of successful purchasing transactions
• Ability to understand and work in an international and multicultural environment
• Working experience in a global company 
• Working experience in a medium-sized company
