We have an Accountant position available at our Lathrop Branch.

Perform tasks necessary to balance and update general ledger and subsidiary accounts, maintain and reconcile daily cash accounts, and manage other accounting-related duties.

As a successful Accountant, you will:

• Manage the accounting cycle, including closing, balancing and updating the general ledger, verifying accuracy of system data, and monthly accruals
• Complete the Allowance for Loan Loss calculation and report, Asset Liability Management report, Charge Off report, Call Report, and all other reports advised by the Accounting Manager
• Complete investment functions to include maintaining investment ladder, buying additional investments with the advice of the Accounting Manager, and completing annual due diligence for all investments
• Assist Collections department with posting entries and perform the charge off of loans and shares on members accounts
• General ledger reconcilements
• Reviews daily cash balances, maintains checking accounts, completes wire transfers.
• Prepare Credit Union’s various tax and property returns
• Perform analytical analysis on special projects under the direction of the Accounting Manager
  

The following skills are required:

• High integrity and work ethic

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 2-5 years of experience is required. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting/finance experience in a similar position within a financial institution. Salary commensurate with experience.
