ROLE SUMMARY:

This role involves elements of deign, production, studio facility and post production and works with technical subject-matter consultants and training staff in evaluating and planning various productions.

Design: 

  • Creates graphics, animations and sounds as needed.
  • Based on production purpose, works with technical subject-matter consultants and training staff in evaluating and planning various productions. 

Production:
Determines lighting needs, sets audio, and positions video camera to determine appropriate shots of persons and objects. 

  • Operates appropriate video cameras, audio recorders, lighting fixtures, audio-mixing boards, and related video production equipment when required. 
  • Experience filming in a green screen studio. 

Studio Facility: 

  • Recommends supplies and equipment. 
  • Stays up to date with current and future needs. 
  • Performs routine servicing, installation, and adjustment of video production equipment. 

Post Production:


  • Creates graphic elements based on company brand standards.
  • Gathers various elements for postproduction including Keynote graphics, on camera video recordings, audio recordings, pre-designed animation elements and stock music.
  • Edits and verifies content for accuracy and esthetic value. 
  • Compresses completed projects for both online and DVD distribution

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • 3 - 5 yrs of College, higher education or Technical School preferred but previous work experience of equivalent levels would be acceptable. 
  • Previous work Experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position 
  • 3+ years’ experience with Premiere Pro

Language Skills


  • Must possess general proficiency in both written and oral communication skills in English. 
  • A foreign language is not required.

Computer skills

Good knowledge of video production equipment, video artistic styles, techniques, methodologies, and effects. 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Premiere Pro
  • Solid understanding of After Effects and motion graphics
  • Solid understanding of both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Comfortable with the Apple Mac operating system
  • Experience with video compression for online distribution
  • Experience with Apple’s Keynote
  • Some knowledge of media-based adult education program development. 
  • Must have experience making changes to Keynote presentations for use in video production programs.
  • Must be familiar with basic design concepts including color theory and typography.

Equipment Used

  • Demonstrated ability to stage and light video productions; operate video cameras, sound recording equipment. 
  • Panasonic cameras experience a plus
  • Portable lighting equipment

  • Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Mostly sedentary position, normal bending, stooping and lifting required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while filming. Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted. Must be able to visually interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate via telephone and use a variety of computer based business applications. Must be able to visually discern the color spectrum. Must be able to visually and audibly discern artifacts & noise in A/V systems.


Work Environment
Desk & Video Work: Office environment, moderate noise levels, comfortable temperature, no extreme conditions. 

 
Lab Areas: May encounter normal hazards associated with work in a dental practice or laboratory such as potential exposure to x-rays, high powered surgical lasers, hazardous chemicals or materials, etc. to be expected.


Professional attire required
May have to travel to record offsite locations several times a year.
