·       Provide and facilitate turn-key dental outreach experiences where volunteers can mentor local professionals and students and enjoy the human connections with patients, family, staff and other volunteers. 

·       Give access to on-going mentoring, comprehensive educational materials and support to local oral health care providers, institutions & students.

Job Description

Spear Open Wide Foundation is hiring an Operations Manager. The person in this role will be responsible for the management and execution of the day to day operations of the foundation. This person will also frequently work in a support role for foundation leadership, ambassadors, individual and groups of volunteers. The position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and self-motivated with a strong desire to make a difference!

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Management and execution of the day-to-day operations of the foundation
  •  Volunteer service and support, including coordination of dental volunteer trip paricipants in each stage: pre-trip preparation, travel logistics, post trip, feedback, appreciation packets, etc.
  • Recruitment of new dental volunteers by answering questions and requests for information via phone/email
  • Booth attendance at on-site dental seminars and annual meeting to provide information on dental volunteer opportunities to interested dentists and dental professionals.
  • Support and collaborate with foundation leadership

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Outbound and inbound phone calls and email communications with current and new volunteers
  • Updates to necessary team members and leadership
  • Scheduling and facilitating on-line webinar meetings with volunteer for trip preparation
  • Maintain current filing systems and upkeep print and digital records of all foundation dealings 
  • Data entry and upkeep of  Customer Database and multiple spreadsheets for calendaring, statistics and reports
  • Facilitate regular and in-kind donations to the foundation
  • Social media and email marketing activities
  • Provide excellent customer service to volunteers

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Superior communication skills, including: face-to-face, telephone and written correspondance
