Job Description

Spear is looking for New Business Representatives who are looking to lead the charge in our world-class sales team in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a New Business Representative, you will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Our fast-paced, energetic environment provides opportunities for huge growth potential! Role Snapshot  

  • The candidate will be responsible for fielding inbound and making outbound calls to dentists and business representatives, in order to form Spear Study Clubs
  • Act as the primary contact for channel partners who are tasked with starting Spear Study Clubs and works closely with Study Club Advisors and Member Success Advisors to ensure new clients are successfully on-boarded
  • Identify prospective customers by following internal leads, business directories, participating in organizations and clubs and attending trade shows and conferences
  • Follow up with potential club leaders and members to ensure that payments are received from potential members following the organizational meeting and the transition to their permanent Study Club Advisor- is handled flawlessly 

Daily Responsibilities  

  • Receive and respond to inquiries generated from outside marketing sources, existing customer referrals, and referrals obtained from our existing business partners
  • Make proactive, outbound calls to prospects in targeted areas informing them that they will be receiving information and to be on the lookout for its arrival - follow up is key
  • Provide support during organizational meetings, as needed
  • Meet with potential leaders and CEAs when they are on campus
  • Send out materials and implement mail campaigns to existing leads
  • Work through problems and irregularities that arise from conducting sales activities
  • Work with industry partners to follow up on leads, as appropriate
  • Keep the Sales Manager aware of any issues that have a potential effect to the sales process or prospective clients

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in a similar role at a company of similar size and complexity as Spear Education
  • Proven ability to create and maintain business relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Preferred experience using Netsuite and other CRMs
  • Basic business mathematics 
  • Work well in a team environment and present a professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to take initiative and direction

Additional Information

This is mostly a sedentary position, where normal bending, stooping, stopping, walking and lifting are required. The ability to visually interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate via telephone and a variety of computer-based business applications. This is an office type environment with normal noise levels, and comfortable temperatures,
