Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Part of the development team to create functional specification documents for all development undertaken by the team.

The tasks include gathering and putting on paper the business requirements and work closely with the requester and the development team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize project requirements define scope and convey that to the developers.

You actively collaborate with the Product Manager and the development team to define the go-to-market strategy (training, information). You will also be involved in testing and documentation to insure that the finished development is aligned with the initial request.

You have several years of experience from the hospitality industry and good knowledge of the market trends.

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills required.

Main job tasks:

Responsible for functional specification

  • Align functional specification with business requirements
  • Write functional specification and use cases.
  • Define/specify user experience, implementing company graphical standards
  • Get specification validation from requester.
  • Work closely with product manager.

Development support:

  • Work closely with development team to explain requirements and specifications, adjust according to possible technical constrains.
  • Align functional specification template and content to allow technical specification writing.

Test & validation support:

  • Work closely with quality assurance to ensure delivery matches with specifications.
  • Execute tests when required to strengthen QA capacity.

Training & documentation:

  • Work closely with technical author
  • Align product documentation with functional specification
  • Provide training

Product improvement and functional support:

  • Propose product optimization, improvement on user experience, on product quality and stability, on process steps
  • Support other development teams on product functionalities



Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree or equivalent, IT specialization is a plus
  • Good understanding and feeling with technology.
  • Must be fluent in English speaking and writing.

Professional experience:

  • Project management: experience in coordinating and managing projects
  • Project Specification: experience in writing advanced specificactions for projects.
  • Knowledgeable in technology including & beyond Hospitality Industry is a must
  • Good knowledge in Hotel environment, preferable large hotels or hotel chains.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Hotel Property Management Systems and various other hotel functions.

Technical / job-related skills:

  • Good knowledge of Office & Office 365
