Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain patient records confidentially.
- Contributes to the success of the physician’s office practice.
- Follows all written protocols and procedures of the clinic.
- Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families.
- Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established
procedures. - Instruct patients regarding procedures.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
- Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on
individual patient basis. - Develop and process radiologic film and examine film for properties such as
definition, magnification and discoloration. - Maintain examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic
supplies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Program
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologist.
(AART) - Illinois State registration in Illinois.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one-year experience in Radiology.
