We are seeking an outside sales professional to maintain our accounts in the Orlando/Central Florida area as well as build the territory.

Job Description

It is the responsibility of the Outside Sales Representative (Account Relationship Manager) to build his or her account base to its maximum sales and gross margin potential, while upholding Stellar’s Vision:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

More specifically, it is the responsibility of the Account Relationship Manager (Revenue Producer, or RP) to:

1) Preparation of an annual budget for sales and gross margin $, monthly

2) Meet or exceed budgeted amounts monthly and YTD

3) Minimum sales after two years is $140,000/month; minimum gross margin $ is $30,000/month after two years. 

4) Preparation, with Sales Manager, of quarterly target/key account sales plans and completion of plan, including Tour De Force (TDF) and Documented Cost Saving (DCS) activities.

5) Meet or exceed customer expectations:

  • a) Honesty/forthrightness
  • b) Courtesy and professionalism
  • c) Build relationships for the long term
  • d) Aggressive follow through
  • e) Clear communications on customer needs

6) Understand Stellar’s service abilities:

  • a) E-commerce and be able to explain to the customer
  • b) Inventory levels and first pass fill rates
  • c) SMI
  • d) Normal response times
  • e) Delivery systems
  • f) Computer system
  • g) Purchasing system and response time
  • h) Technical abilities, including bar coding, EDI, Internet, sales reports, etc.
  • i) Contract arrangements and flexibility therein

7) Constant and clear communication with Sales Manager on impediments to progress, suggestions for improvement, opportunities.

8) Constant development of product knowledge.

9) Utilize manufacturer sales reps. to help develop territory.

10) Have a regular call schedule; plan your sales calls and reasons for sales call. 

11) Penetrate existing accounts; constantly look for new products and additional products we can sell. Have multiple contacts in your accounts

12) Strive to be a value added sales person, always look for ways to save the customer both time and money. Document cost savings and report to the customer.

13) Generate sales opportunities with new accounts in your territory.

14) Attend regularly scheduled weekly branch meetings.

15) Help elsewhere in company, when necessary. Assist on contract and other large quote opportunities. Help inside sales phone coverage; make deliveries and pickups when asked. 

16) Display consistent “can-do,” positive attitude. Strive to constantly improve.

Qualifications

• Must have three to five years outside sales experience

  • industry related experience is desirable but not required

• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, personable, well organized, and works well by themselves and with other team members

• Proficiency working with MS Office

• Must have ability to manage prospects in CRM (Tour de Force)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Willingness and flexibility to travel overnight
