Company Description

Wine Bar George is Walt Disney World's first wine bar located at Disney Springs. All team members will work with and learn from Master Sommelier George Miliotes at this 210 seat wine bar featuring 125 wines by the bottle, glass, Coravin and on tap.  We will serve shareable small plates, cheese and charcuterie so there will be culinary education as well. Our location is situated between Raglan Road and the Hangar Bar with 6,000 square feet over two floors, a to-go area and private event space. Our decor resembles a two-story gravity flow winery and vineyard home. We are planning to open in late 2017.

Job Description

Serve and educate our guests and team members about great food and wine in a fun educational environment. Since we are at Disney Springs this will be a very busy location and you will need to have high energy and a guest and team member first mentality.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Hiring and training culinary team members
  • Motivating and educating team members
  • Follow proper ordering, receiving and inventorying procedures products
  • Scheduling of culinary team members
  • Being fiscally responsible
  • Upholding culinary and service standards
  • Running shifts and working next to team members
  • Ensuring that all food items are perfectly prepared
  • Upholding HACCP standards
  • Partner with front of the house manager to ensure every guest is happy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Prefer a minimum of one year Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager experience in a high volume kitchen
  • Culinary degree is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
  • Must be courteous, friendly and have a professional demeanor
  • Serve Safe certification is a plus
  • Must desire to open and run what we aspire to be the greatest wine bar in the world

Expected to be able to perform the job functions with reasonable accommodation. Physical demands may include: 

  • Remain standing for extended periods of time. 
  • Bending, squatting, and lifting, up to 30 lbs., for short distances. 
  • Frequent communication with Managers and Team Members. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
