Job Description

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager with fantastic people skills who is able to provide leadership and management oversight to our Centres ensuring the University’s commitment to high quality ECE utilising research and teaching expertise and opportunities.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Campus Life the General Manager has responsibility for strategic, operational, regulatory and financial elements of running the ECE Centres.

About you | He kōrero mōu

  • You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Education management and leadership.
  • Experience in leading and implementing change, managing a range of projects and working collaboratively across organisations.
  • You will be a superb communicator, with high levels of emotional intelligence to successfully build stakeholder relationships and lead the Centre Leaders.
  • You will have an excellent grasp on innovative practices in ECE and the latest research developments in this space to ensure our centres are leading edge in practice.
  • Whilst you will be a strategic, big picture person, you will be able to balance this with operational management such as property management, budgets, aligning practices with government policies and procedures and ensuring overall compliance is met.
