Sseko products are sold by Sseko Fellows, a bright and bold community of dreamers and doers, who are using their passion and smarts to send women in Uganda to college and earn an income to pursue their own dreams.

Job Description

  • Plan, Manage and Execute all events including but not limited to:

    • Setting and managing event budget

    • Negotiating and managing vendor relationships

    • Marketing event - responsible for attendance

    • Managing and planning resources needed for executing events

    • Managing all the details for the duration of the event.  You are the go to person that everyone will run to when they have no idea where to be

    • Creating a space for magic to happen.  Sseko events facilitate connection, inspiration and give practical tips to help Fellows move forward

    • Plan and manage all travel arrangements for HQ staff, 3rd party, and Fellows for all Events

  • Sseko Summit and Leadership retreats, quarterly trainings, opportunity events and Sample Sales

  • Plan, Manage and Execute all trips including but not limited to:

    • You are responsible for ALL incentive trips including Uganda and North America incentive trips, and incentives for attending Summit and Leadership

    • Setting and managing travel budgets

    • Planning itineraries, and managing schedules while traveling

    • Negotiating and managing vendors for travel

    • Coordinating Fellows travel schedules when required

    • Coordinating with Marketing to communicate details for incentive trips

    • Booking travel for Sseko HQ team members

Qualifications

  • LOVE People, and specifically love created spaces and experience for people to thrive in

  • Comfortable traveling and managing complex situations in new cultures and environments

  • Strong excel skills, and a good comprehension of managing a budget

  • Comfortable and confident in complex negotiations with vendors.  Able to manage conflict and work for win win outcomes in all negotiations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to take initiative, start and execute on your ideas

Compensation:

  • Salary: DOE ( Est. $40 - $45k)
