Job Description

The  School of Engineering and Digital Sciences invites applications for a full-time Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, to be a fit in any of the following broad categories:

  1. Smart systems for Electrical Machines, Grids, Power Systems and Power Electronics

  2. Machine learning and artificial Intelligence applied to Electrical Engineering

  3. Emerging areas of Electrical Engineering - new proven devices, circuits, systems and signal processing

Required qualifications: a PhD degree from a reputed university in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate should have academic leadership capabilities and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Only active researchers with a growing scientific profile will be considered. Applicants with top publications relative to the area of work in IEEE journals, Nature, Science etc will only be considered. 

Initial appointment is on a 3-year renewable contract and subsequent appointments can be 5-year/3-year renewable subject to annual performance reviews. An attractive internationally competitive remuneration package will include: Internationally competitive salary; A startup grant for conference travels and building collaborations; Holiday leave of 56 days per annum; Two flights for the appointee and dependents home per annum; International health insurance; Rent-free housing for the appointee and dependents;
