Job Description

As a NetSuite Administrator,  you will use, customize and administer NetSuite's own installation of NetSuite. You will work closely with internal development teams and NetSuite employees to perform customizations, resolve user issues and define processes. You will work, administer and configure NetSuite to maintain compliance with existing policies. You must be enthusiastic about customer service and a passion for improving the employee experience. You will collaborate with team members across Finance, Marketing and other departments to deliver and improve solutions utilizing NetSuite’s capabilities. 

The ideal candidate will conceptualize business needs and be able to formulate, develop, and implement solutions from both the technical and business points of view. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business requirements, translate into functional and system requirements that meet those needs, and implement solutions in NetSuite
  • Leverage and customize out-of-the-box NetSuite solutions
  • Create comprehensive technical requirements documentation and provide training to stakeholders
  • Provide support by developing business solutions, administering software programs, analyzing requirements, developing and maintaining reporting needs and managing system enhancements. 
  • Provide complex problem-solving expertise for user interface issues, technical support and training as needed.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to develop effective solutions that result in efficiency gains
  • Analyze processing issues and assess breakdowns to develop solutions
  • Fully document existing and new customizations and workflows
  • Maintain proper system access for all users and roles
  • Coordinate with NetSuite support on issues that cannot be resolved internally
  • Lead other NetSuite partners to produce solutions specific to business requirements
  • Manage configuration changes to fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, custom record types, reports and dashboards
  • Comfortable exporting data out in save searches, modifying it as necessary and reporting back into NetSuite.
  • Ensure system compliance with Company policies, procedures and protocols for system standards, customizations and changes
  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite including data migration and integration
  • Fully administer NetSuite including user management, reporting and dashboard development post implementation
  • Act as the lead & Subject Matter Experts for Netsuite support, administration and improvements - across all functional and technical areas
  • Analyze, develop, and review business requirements, functional specifications, and test cases for all Netsuite improvements
  • Work directly with business units to the NetSuite application to meet business requirements
  • Work with the QA Team to support testing activities
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and simplification

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another technical field
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT or financial systems development
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with NetSuite administration and implementations
  • Significant experience in administration and configuration of NetSuite 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
  • An understanding of agile development, and not only work independently but also as a team
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility & foster collaborative relationships across functional
  • Superb communication, documentation, training and leadership skills
  • Experienced using forms, fields, custom records and workflows to manage unique business process requirements within NetSuite
  • Experienced integrating Netsuite with third party systems
  • Experience in system customizations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow and/or SuiteBundler for NetSuite a plus
  • Detailed understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Accounting (AR, AP, GL, Invoicing); Revenue Management and Support (Case Management)
  • Project management, system implementation and system integration experience
  • Must be capable of learning a very complex technical product offering, an excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts. 
  • Must have a record of working to deadlines and prioritizing competing demands.
  • Pride in your work and a desire to delight the customer should motivate you to take initiative, take responsibility and take ownership of your projects.
  • Must be proficient with saved searches, formulas, reporting creating dashboards, creating custom forms and creating workflows.
